Arsène Henri

Arsène Henri

1930 -

Arsène Henri was born in Bordeaux in 1930. He studied art at the Beaux Arts school of Bordeaux, and traveled to the many museums in France to study and paint like the Masters. He was attracted to the spirit and elegance of the Belle Époque era and many of his paintings depict Paris in the early 1900's. Henri exhibited in Lyon and the towns of the Côte d'Azur and was awarded prizes, including the Golden Frame from Collonge la Rouge. His works have been exhibited in the Galerie Visconti, the Galerie du Fleuve, the Galerie d'Art, the Galerie Sainte Maxime, Trélissac and the Centre Culturel de Lormont. A self-described "romantic classicist", Henri was also a painting conservator at the city museum of Lyon.
