Christian Nesvadba was born in 1977 in Vienna, into an artistic family. His father is Gerhard Nesvadba, a well known celebrated landscape artist, was his first tutor. Christian's first paintings were done on his fathers' easel, but soon developed his own style bold and fresh and vibrant. Nesvadba has won numerous prestigious awards, including the prestigious SalzBurger Kulturfonds Prize in 1997.
