Emil Thulin

Emil Thulin 1891 - 1965

Emil Thulin was born July 22, 1891 in New York. He was a student at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Academy Julian in Paris. He exhibited six paintings at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1920 through 1925. He also exhibited in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. He won awards for his exhibitions in Milwaukee, Philadelphia and at the Swedish Club of Chicago in 1932 and 1935. Thulin was a member of the Palette and Chisel Club and the Artists Guild of Chicago. A veteran of WWI, the artist died in the Chicago Veterans Hospital in 1965.
