Jean Émile Renié
1835 - 1883
Jean Émile Renié, born in 1935 in Paris, was known for his Barbizon landscapes, particularly scene of the Fontainbleau Forrest in France. He studied painting under leaders of the Barbizon School, artists Theodore Rousseau and Narciso Diaz. Renié debuted at the French Salon in 1867 and became a member of the Sociétaire des Artistes Français in 1883. His work is represented in the Musée d'Avranche, and has sold in Europe and North America.
