Lawrence Mazzanovich

1871 - 1959

Lawrence Mazzanovich was born around 1872 at sea off the California coast. His family eventually moved to Chicago where he attended the Art Institute of Chicago. He later studied painting in Paris and New York. Mazzanovich was a member of the American Federation of Arts, the National Arts Club and the Salmagundi Club. His work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the MacBeth Gallery, the National Academy of Design, the Panama Pacific Exhibition and the Pennsylvania Academy. Mazzanovich's work is also represented at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Asheville Art Museum, the Greenville County Museum of Art, the Muskegon Museum of Art and the Tryon Fine Arts Center.
